Our Curriculum
We run two key stages.
At An Noor (De-light) Model Schools, learning is personal and social experience for the learner. We encourage learners to express themselves and the curriculum is planned, as a whole, with the aim of providing a broad, balanced and relevant program of study for all.
We follow a cross curricular approach which creates a well harmonized blend of the Nigerian and UK National curricular. At the end of Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, our students are able to sit for National and International examinations.
KEY STAGE 3: (Years 7, 8 And 9) (Junior Secondary School)
SUBJECTS:
The subjects in Junior Secondary (Key Stage 3) are as listed: English Language, Mathematics, Basic Science & Technology, Business Studies, National Values Education, French Language, CRS, IRS,PHE, Home Economics, Music, ICT, Agricultural Science & Cultural and Creative Arts, Hausa/Igbo.
KEY STAGE 4: (Years 10, 11 And 12) (Senior Secondary School)
SUBJECTS:
English, Mathematics, Civic Education, Data Processing, ICT, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Literature-In-English, Geography, Further Mathematics, Foods & Nutrition, Government, Technical Drawing, Economics, CRS and IRS
Examinations:
KEY STAGE 3 EXAMS:
At the end of JSS3 (Year 9) our students sit for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) NECO and ERC in the subjects listed above.
KEY STAGE 4 EXAMS:
At the end of Senior Secondary School, our students sit for the West African School Certificate Examination WASC/SSCE, National Examination Council (NECO) and Cambridge International General Cerificate of Secondary School Education (IGCSE) exams which is optional. We also offer tuition for the following International Examinations: International English Language Testing System (IELTS), Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and Our own Universal Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
